Real Loss Component Analysis: A Tool for Economic Water Loss Control

The Real Loss Component Analysis Tool was developed by the Water Resource Foundation to assist systems performing water audits with next-level analysis relating to their real losses. It was “designed to provide North American (NA) water utilities with a utility-tested software tool to undertake a leakage component analysis and to identify economic options for real loss reduction through improved speed and quality of leak repair, proactive leak detection and pressure management.”

Note that the tool was developed in 2014 and some functionality may not work with more recent versions of Excel, particularly those running on Mac computers. The Tool is available as a free resource but you will have to register with WRF and create an account as a “Public Plus” member.
