Cheryn L. Vigil 

Cheryn L. Vigil earned her B.A. in Geography from the University of New Mexico and is currently pursuing a Masters in Science in Geography at the University of New Mexico. She is a Research Assistant for the Center for Advancement of Spatial Informatics Research & Education (ASPIRE). Her research interests include mapping out water systems about the U.S. Southwest. She began her role as a GIS Student Tech for the SWEFC during her undergrad, creating data visualizations for water and waste water using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Some projects have included digitizing the drinking water and waste water pipes for Clayton, NM. As well as scanning maps for El Rito Canyon for digital archives. She has also assisted with non related GIS work such as collecting information on State Revolving Funds. She looks to continue developing her GIS skills by working with water resources.
