Water Utility Trainer
The Southwest Environmental Finance Center (Southwest EFC) is searching for a Water Utility Trainer and Specialist to join our team. This position is intended for early-career professionals and will provide training and technical assistance to primarily small water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities in EPA Region 6. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with water resources and/or water or wastewater utilities and a willingness to learn how to develop and provide training and/or technical assistance on topics related to regulatory compliance, operation, and maintenance, financial management, or funding. This position is project specific, and grant funded, but could extend beyond existing projects if future funding becomes available.
Digital Support Specialist and Trainer
The Southwest Environmental Finance Center (Southwest EFC) within UNM’s Center for Water and the Environment is searching for a Digital Support Specialist and Trainer to support and expand our work with water and wastewater systems across the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our web presence, maintaining and creating innovative digital tools to support our awards, and delivering training on emerging technologies such as AI and Cybersecurity and how these technologies could be applied to water and wastewater utilities. This position requires advanced WordPress knowledge and web technology skills. This position has growth potential to work with water and wastewater systems to deploy new technologies and electronic approaches in various ways to assist systems
Water Utility Trainer and Specialist

This position is intended for mid- or advanced-career professionals and will provide training and technical assistance to primarily small water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities in EPA Region 6. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with or for water or wastewater utilities as well as developing and providing training and/or technical assistance on topics related to regulatory compliance, operations and maintenance, financial management, or funding. This position is project specific, and grant funded, but could extend beyond existing projects if future funding becomes available. Fully remote work for applicants based outside of the immediate Albuquerque area will be considered.
