Mikayla joined the Southwest Environmental Finance Center (EFC) in March 2026. She holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Communication & Journalism with a concentration in Environmental Communication from the University of New Mexico. She has nearly a decade of experience in climate and environmental projects, digital marketing and outreach, and economic development. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to effectively translate complex, technical information to accessible and actionable information. Mikayla will work with the team to continue to expand SWEFC’s communication and outreach efforts.
