Maren Neldam, MCRP candidate
Maren is a planner based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She holds a BFA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts with a minor in Law, Societies, and Justice from the University of Washington and is in her final semester pursuing a Master of Community and Regional Planning at the University of New Mexico. Her current Capstone Studio professional project is in support of the Round Rock Chapter of the Navajo Nation, planning for the redevelopment of the Round Rock Trading Post funded by the EPA Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) Community Program. Maren has 14 years combined experience in regenerative agriculture, restoration ecology, place-based community education, and program management. Prior to her move to New Mexico, she was a Program Manager at Tilth Alliance, a food systems and environmental education organization in Washington state, where she oversaw education programs, managed contracts, developed curriculum, facilitated workshops, and co-designed outdoor learning environments with schools. At Southwest EFC, Maren is a Research Assistant supporting SpringPoint Funding related to water infrastructure funding programs.
