If it is repaired or rehabilitated, the condition\u00a0<\/span><\/span>immediately<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>returns to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>nearly new<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>as shown by the vertical\u00a0<\/span><\/span>portion<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of the curve. This\u00a0<\/span><\/span>high level<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of condition should last for a few years to a few decades depending on the type of asset.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Eventually<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the asset condition will begin to decay,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>due<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to soil contamination or\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the end of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>plant life<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>This m<\/span>ight<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>happen quickly<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>or<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>over a period of years.
