The Oklahoma Rural Infrastructure Grant (RIG) program helps rural and small municipal water and wastewater systems<\/strong> become sustainable and improve infrastructure, with up to $100,000<\/strong> in funding per project. The program will fund 80 percent of the project cost. The Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Assistance program is intended to help systems in EPA Region 6 build capacity and access existing State Revolving Fund (SRF) money<\/strong>, as well as the additional Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funding, in a timely fashion while ensuring the needs of communities of all types throughout the region are well-served<\/strong>. The project team can assist communities throughout the entire funding process and help build the pipeline of fundable projects.<\/p>\nThrough the program we will:<\/p>\n
–<\/strong>\u00a0 Help communities develop and submit project proposals, including SRF applications for BIL funding.<\/p>\n–<\/strong>\u00a0 Support small communities with technical assistance to identify sustainable infrastructure solutions.<\/p>\n–<\/strong>\u00a0 Provide states, Tribes, and local governments or water systems with technical assistance services to advance equitable health and environmental protections.<\/p>\nWe commit to promoting \u201cshovel-worthy\u201d rather than just \u201cshovel-ready\u201d projects. It is important that projects that are undertaken fit community values and culture, technical and technological capabilities, financial capabilities, and affordability concerns, and that they represent the best possible outcome for the community.<\/p>\n

The project team can assist communities throughout the entire funding process and help build the pipeline of fundable projects.<\/p>\n Through the program we will:<\/p>\n –<\/strong>\u00a0 Help communities develop and submit project proposals, including SRF applications for BIL funding.<\/p>\n –<\/strong>\u00a0 Support small communities with technical assistance to identify sustainable infrastructure solutions.<\/p>\n –<\/strong>\u00a0 Provide states, Tribes, and local governments or water systems with technical assistance services to advance equitable health and environmental protections.<\/p>\n We commit to promoting \u201cshovel-worthy\u201d rather than just \u201cshovel-ready\u201d projects.
